The Kush Empire is the most well-known Empire of the ancient Nubian time period. Most people consider Nubia as Kush because the Empire of Kush ran the country of Nubia back then. The Empire of Kush was independent from Egypt unless they were united as one with them. The Empire of Kush was definitely the high point in ancient Nubian history, but was also the reason for the collapse of the great ancient civilization. Kush was a very long lasting Empire that had many important figures and events help make the Empire grow bigger and bigger.
